A show a day (15 Days of favorites)

Hello lovelies,

As you guys probably knew, we are absolutly obsessed with tv-shows. So we wanted to share our favorite ones with you. It took a while, but we finally created a top 15. But we wanted to do it a little different this time. We'll be posting an atricle with our opinion about the tv-show, the story line, pictures, info about the actors and all you can imagine, every day.

They are mostly shows for teenagers (young adult) that we love. We'll show you our number fifteen today and tomorrow you'll be able to read all about number fourteen. I feel like a bingo lady saying that, lol.

15. The tomorrow people

The tomorrow people  is about a boy named Stephen. Lately he has been waking up in strange places, not remembering anything, also he hears a voice in his head. He's about to declare himself nuts, when he discovers that everything that's happening to him is supossed to. He's of another species, a species with powers. But great power comes with great responsibilty (lol, I sound so wise saying that. Feel like Ben Parker, omg, I'm such a nerd.)  and of course there's someone out there to destroy his race and Stephen is the one to change it all.

This show has only recently started and we like it already. It's very exciting and you want to know what happens next. And the powers of these people are so cool! I mean, teleporting and stopping time? Sign me up.

The actors that play in it are also really nice. And I kind of watch it as well because of the fact that Robbie Amell is playing the lead because I used to watch him in True Jackson when I was younger.

Some facts about the show:

1. Robbie Amell is Stephen Amell's cousin and they are great friends (Stephen is from the hit series Arrow)
2. The executive producers from the show have worked on the films and tv shows Arrow, Green Lantern, The Vampire Diaries and Chuck as well.
3. The tomorrow people uses the same fight choreographer as Arrow. (There are some badass fights going on in Arrow so this is promising for the season!)
4. Robbie Amell will get his ass kicked over the first episodes. His character has just joined the tomorrow people, so he not that great of a fighter yet.
5. The character are driven by the fact that they put family first.

A day at the zoo

One week ago, we went to the zoo with one. One day we were talking about things we still wanted to do together and our friend said: 'I want to go to the zoo!'. So we went and we had lots of fun. It's still really nice to go to the zoo and it's a great place to take pictures if you are a photograph lover as we are. So I (Iris) took a lot of pictures and I wanted to share some of them with you, so here they are!

New York City, the city of my dreams

This summer I (Iris) went with my mother, brother and his girlfriend to New York City. It was amazing! New York is very different to all the city's in the Netherlands that I am used to, with all its skyscrapers and shops everywhere, I absolutely loved it! We went for two days, we went sight-seeing the first day and shopping the second day.

Day one:
To start our day of we went to the Empire State Building. It was amazing to go up their and have an overview all over the city.

After that we went to see the statue of liberty, we didn't go onto liberty island because of time but I am glad that I saw the statue wit my own eye's.

World trade center was our next stop. It is the most beautiful skyscraper I have ever seen.

Then we went to the 9/11 memorial. It consists of two pools set in the footprints of the original Twin Towers. It was absolutely breath taking. Everybody who was there had respect for what happened. The memorials are build beautifully. It are thirty-foot waterfalls and the names of all the victims are inscribed in bronze parapets around the pools. Another thing that struck me is that wherever you stand you can never see the ending of the pool. This gives a message to me that people all over the world will never forget what happened on that horrible day. I think that that is true so I think that the architect has done a great job.

While walking to the metro station I saw the century 21. And I know I said that we would go shopping the next day, I just could not resist the shop, so we went in ;). I absolutely loved some dresses that I saw there from D&G, Armani and Chanel but I don't have any occasions to were beautiful cocktail dresses so I came out of the shop with a new watch and earrings (which I both adore as well).

In the evening we went to times square. It was just so pretty with all the colorful billboards. Its probably my most favorite place in New York.
For dinner we went to Ellen's Stardust on Broadway which is a diner with a singing staff. This means that while you are eating some of the staff sings a song for you. The whole diner had that broadway feeling and it was so much fun! If you ever need a place to eat in New York, I definitely recommend it!

After dinner we went to the the M&M and there are just two words I can use to describe it: chocolate heaven.

Day two: SHOPPING TIME!

Before going to New York I made a list of all the shops that I definitely wanted to see. The most imported ones were to me Forever 21, Victoria Secret, American Apparel, Necessary Clothing and Brandy Melville and fortunately I went to all of them :D. My favorite clothing stores right now are definitely Brandy Melville and Victoria Secret. Brandy Melville for all of their clothing and Victoria Secret for their perfumes, body splashes, sweaters and bikini's. Unfortunately we only have one Brandy and one Victoria Secret in the Netherlands. Which are both situated in Amsterdam which is at least an hour drive for me. But I don't mind going there more often ;).

This is the flag of America in converse shoes. Isn't that just supercool!

While in New york, I just had to take a picture of a yellow cab so here it is for you!

This is the Empire State Building in the evening.

I had a great time in New York City and I definitely want to go their again in the future because there is so much to see. New York City is for sure the city of my dreams and a dream of mine is to open a clothing store there when I am older. What is the city of your dreams and why? Let me know by writing it in the comments down below.

Lots of love, Iris
