Outfit - Opening Oceans

Hello there lovelies,

While we were in Saint Martin two weeks ago we have shot some other outfit photos and we are going to share them with you today :).
We had an amazing time in Saint Martin; we have seen the island, we have met a lot of people and were able to hear their life stories, we have been able to improve our English and we have learned to be more independent. So to conclude it all, it was an amazing journey which we will look back on with wonderful memories.
We have also been able to film some shots of the areas where we were and we have vlogged a little so we will probably put that on the blog sometime soon as well.

But now lets get into the outfits! We were at this amazing beach with super blue water, yellow whitish sand and some cool rocks. And it was just lovely to stand on the rocks and let the wind blow trough your hair. Yes, that felt as dramatac as it sounds.

Lets start of with Merel, She is wearing a ZARA top, Bershka shorts and a Bijou Brigitte Necklace. We love the open back of this shirt so much, it just makes and ordinary tank top so much more interesting.

Outfit - Seas the moment

Hello lovely people,

For the moment we are on the beautiful Island Sint-Maarten, lucky us. We are here to do an internship for our school. Not that we're complaining. While we are here we have enough time to enjoy the lovely but sometimes too hot to handle weather as well as the beautiful surroundings. Which of course means we can wear our favorite summer clothes. Here are some photos we shot on this gorgeous beach we found, wearing our maxi skirts. We love the dramatic effect of them flowing trough the wind, yes we are that cheesy haha. Now let's get into it.

 

The influential books TAG (P.2)

Hello there Lovelies, today it is time for the second part of the influential books TAG. This means that it's my time (Iris) to talk to you about the books that had the most influences on my life! But I honesty think that every good book has some influences over you which you will not always notice because the things can be so little. For example in some of these books was the main character like a big sister to me and has taught me little things. Things that I will not immediately recognize as something that came from a book. But these books have really changed my point of view in some situations and have taught me things like a big sister would. 

The Vampire diaries: A show a day

This was one of the first shows we ever watched. We loved the first four seasons, we flied through them. We fell hopelessly in love with Damon Salvatore. And we hoped Elena would too. But this show is one huge love triangle, so there goes that dream.

Well basically the title of this show says a lot about the actual plot. A young girl, Elena Gilbert, has just lost her parents and is ready to get back to school. There she meets a mysterious stranger who she  immediatly connects with. Stefan Salvatore. He turns to be -spoiler alert- a vampire.

The influential books tag (P.1)

Hello y'all,

We are both big readers, we love books and everything about them. But which books have had an influence on our lives or on the way we see things in life? That is what we' ll be answering in this tag,  the influential book tag. Since this post with massive we split it up into two parts. We'll start of with Merel' s part and Iris will upload hers later on.

Yessss, the Harry Potter series, you knew this was going to be here. I absolutly love these books, I started reading these when I was nine and as the weirdo I am, I started off with the chamber of secrets. (of which you can see the Dutch cover above). I remember having heard about the series so my teacher gave me this book to read and I fell in love. When she told me it was a series, I convinced my parents to get me the books and I finished them so quickly that we were in the bookshop every week to get the next book. I would say this book has influenced me, it made me realise I love fantasy and it introduced me to reading a serie instead of stand alones. Also it has taught me many things and it will forever have a place in my heart.

Things we (girls) all do

Hello lovelies,

There are a bunch of things us girls all do, things we either really like or we are quite ashamed of. In this post we will tell you some things us girls all do although we may deny some.
But no need to be ashamed, cause we all do it.


- Always wanting to go jogging, but you never actually go.

- Looking at pictures of clothing you would love to wear, but you never buy anything like it.

- Walking past a mirror and always looking in it to check if your hair and make-up still looks okay.

- Judging guys' appearences on what famous actors and singers look like.

- Feeling awesome when you naill your eyeliner.

- Working out for 5 minutes and being dissapointed when you don't see any results.

- "Let it go" being your favourite song at the moment.

- Perfecting your left hand when painting your nails. Then messing up your right hand. *sigh*

- Laughing at your own jokes.

- Wasting time on the internet watching videos.

- Not answering a snap chat because you look like shit.

- Saying: "I've been studying for ages now time for a break." after staring in your text book for five minutes.

- Spending way to much time on picking out your outfit, so that you end up being late.

- Feeling insulted when someone insults your favourtie movie/book/band/tv show/singer.

- Dancing across the room.

- Wanting to buy cute and sexy underwear before you remember there's no one to show it to.

- and remembering that you are not rich enough to afford a pretty bra.

- Going "omg aaah this song" when your hear a song that you haven't heard in ages.

- Forever crying when Finn dies in Tangled.

- Planning an entire conversation in your head, only to make have it happen entirelly diffrent in real life.

- Waking up and looking in the mirror like: "Yeah, not even gonna try today."

- No matter how easily you can talk to your friends,  when meeting someone new you can barely get out Hi.

- Texting someone: "I'm just heading out." when you aren't even dressed yet.

- Regretting painting your nails when they take centuries to dry.

- Disliking someone for no reason.

- Listening to old songs like: "Ah the good old times."

- Adding things to your 'to do list', knowing they'll never be done.


Well lovelies, we think that was it. For now. Because we al know that us girls have way more weird ticks and characteristics than this lol.  When we think of more we could do another one of these posts, if you guys would like that. Anyways hope you enjoyed this post y'all.

A show a day (15DOF) Witches of east end.

Hello girlies,

This is another show a day. We are not posting them that frequently, just because school takes up a lot of time. We do plan to blog some more because ones a month is just us being lazy since we really love to write !

13. Witches of east end

What would you do when you discover your family was keeping a huge secret from you?

Two sisters, Freya and Ingrid, notice that strange things are happening. Not just strange things, things that can only be explained by one thing: magic. 

When they discover they do indeed have magic powers, both girls's lifes change forever. 

So yeah, this show revolves around a family with magic powers. The girls are witches, their mother is also some sort of immortal witch and their aunt can change into a cat. Of course, that isn't exciting enough, because the family is haunted by shadows of the past. Literally.

We like it because it's a show that doesn't get boring quickly and you want to know what happens next so you keep watching. It has some mayor cliffhangers. They cleverly make use of unanswered questions which you really want answered.

We really enjoy the drama around Freya, she is in the middle of a love triangle, now matter how cheesy that sounds, we actually always enjoy that. #guiltypleasure.

All with all, this show is worth checking out!

Happy birthday Iris

Hello lovelies,

This post is kind of special, since it’s actually for Iris. Today is Iris’ birthday, or should I say her sweet sixteen? Sixteen is such an exciting age, you get to go out, get your degree for your own vespa (which I know you want) and your just getting closer to eighteen. Too bad the Dutch government decided that drinking is not something we can do (screw you government!)

Dear Iris, since you are one of the sweetest, funniest and most loving girls I know, I wanted to do something really special on your birthday. Too bad I had absolutely no idea what to do. I decided that as one of your gifts (I wouldn’t call it gifts, but yeah, what else do you call it?) you would be getting an original Merel multifandom video.  Then I remembered that my editing skills are really not that great (I can’t get song vegas pro #crying) but yeah, I don’t really care. Hope you don’t either.

Babe I love you and I wish you the most amazing birthday and most amazing year! Sixteen is going to be our year, baby. (gosh, that sounds so cheesy but anyways) I do hope we will make it our best year yet. We’ve done so many awesome things, but there are so much more things to do! Well, at least we’ll be going to the toppers, highlight of the year, I can feel it.

I feel like I’m still supposed to say something really sappy and sweet, so here I go. Iris, since the moment we started hanging out, I knew, this one is in for the long haul. Because damn, we are so similar, something it’s a bit scary but most of the time it’s just plain awesome. We love the same things: films, books, shopping, traveling. But you are also such a nice person, you’re really funny, really smart, you always help everyone out, you are always there for people, you have great ideas, you always want to do fun things, you are very sweet and caring. I really like those things about you.   I mean, we even have this blog together I guess that says something.

Oh and just so you know. I saw you did buy whipping cream, you are going down. (but please don’t take my brownie ice cream away!) Oh, and I can’t wait till you see your gift, and when I say can’t wait I mean can’t wait, idk how much longer I can behave myself. (I want it myself too, so lol. No kidding babe, of course I’ll behave myself, but still can’t wait for you to see it)

The fairytale tag ♥

First of all, we're so sorry for not updating! School has been keeping us so busy.

We might be continuuing a show a day, if you guys would like that.

But when we saw this tag we knew had to do it.

Snowwhite: Do you think you're beautiful?

Merel: Well, that's a straight forward question, I don't know to be honest, I think I'm not completely hideous and I'd like to think I'm kind of pretty I guess lol.

Iris: I feel like this is always a difficult question to answer, but I think everybody has beautiful characteristics in them. So I think that I have some as well. 

Beauty and the beast: What makes someone beautiful in your eyes?

Merel: Their attitude, I want someone to be confindant, but not too much, I hate it when boys are too confident. 

Iris: This may sound really cliché, but I think that someone's personality makes someone beautiful. If someone is smiling every day and he is very funny. That makes someone more beautiful to me than just having a pretty face.

Red Riding hood: Do you trust strangers easily?

Merel: Yes, yes I do. I trust people quite easily, if someone shows me kindness I will show them kindness. I won't tell them my biggest secrets of course, but I guess I do trust them. But not always, sometimes someone I meet can give me this feeling, like something just isn't right and then I won't trust them as easily.

Iris: I do as well. If I meet someone that is kind and nice to me, I will be that as well. Than I will trust someone pretty quickly. I also like to talk about my secrets with my best friends because I think its better to talk about things than keep it all to yourself. But I only tell my real secrets to people that have proven to me that I can trust them. But I do trust strangers easily until they prove me wrong.

Cinderella: Do you have a curfew?

Merel: I usually don't, my parents are really easy going (lucky me) and I get to go out a lot and I never really get a curfew, but sometimes we make an agreement about what time I need to be home.

Iris: I do, but it depends on the situation. In some situations I have to be home more early than in others.   I just make agreements about it with my parents that are different for different situations.

The little mermaid: What sacrifice would you give for love?

Merel: To be honest, I don't  think I'd sacrifise a lot. Yes, when I love someone, I'll do a lot for them, I'd probably even die for them. But if you have to sacifise a lot just to be in a relationship, I don't think it will work out, unless you both make a sacrifice. If just one person would have to throw away their entire live, like Ariel did, something is actually wrong, isn't it?

Iris: I think I would sacrifice some things but not all things. I wouldn't sacrifice relationships with other people for example my best friends and family. However I would give up smaller things, I don't know exactly how far I would go because if you're really in love with someone, you think differently than without being in love an you will sacrifice more. Like Merel said, I think that both of the people in a relationship have to make some sacrifices.

Peter Pan: What is your mental age?

Merel: Hmm, this is one is pretty difficult, in some aspects I'm definitly sixteen. I like to party and hang out. Also, I can be really immature .But in other aspects I feel more adult, like how hard I work for school and how I have opinions about pretty mature issues. So I guess I'd call myself around 17. 

Iris: I think that I have two different ages that fit with two sides of me. Most of the time I just feel 16 and I love being a teenager. On the other side I can have some ideas that are grown up and I think about the future a lot, this makes me sometimes feel like I am 20. But for most of the time I just feel like I am a teenager, which I am. 

Puss in boots: Cat or dog person?

Merel: Cat. 

Iris: A dog person. I do think that cats are beautiful animals, but they do scare me sometimes haha. I also have two dogs at home whom I absolutly adore so for that reasons I am a dog person.

Sleeping beauty: How much do you sleep?

Merel: Well,I have probably got one of the most messed up sleeping patterns. On monday-friday, I will probably gte 5/6 hours of sleep a night. This is because I'm just always busy doing something in the evening. In the weekend, I can stay up till 3 am watching videos and stuff. But then I'll sleep till  one o'clock, in the afternoon. I need to catch up on some sleep, okay? 

And don't you dare wake me up, I don't care if you're a bloody prince.

Iris: I try to sleep 8 hours a day in a school week and 9-10 in the weekends. I most of the time actually get 7-8 hours in a school week and 9 in the weekends so I think that I am doing pretty good with sleeping haha.

Pinoccio: Do you ever lie?

Merel: I try to lie as less as possible. I'll always be honest to my friends, if they ask for my opinion. Because who wants to be lied to?  But lying isn't something you can avoid completly, we all do it.

Iris: I think everybody lies. I do try to lie as little as possible because lying gives me a really bad feeling and I just don't like it but small lies happen to everyone.

Jack and the Beanstock: Do you like plants?

Merel: I wouldn't say I'm a plant lover, but I can really aprreciate the beauty of nature sometimes.

Iris: I love flowers and I think they are beautiful but I am not really a plant lover. I do not camp because insects and plants just make me feel itchy hihi. I am a real girly girl like that but I can really appreciate flowers.

Rapunzel: Short or long hair?

Merel: Long. My hair short would be a mess.

Iris: Long hair for sure, I love long hair and I think it looks good on so much people. Short hair can also look good on people but its just nothing for me.

This was a really fun tag to do, because we love fairytales. It did have some difficult questions but we are up for a challenge! We did think of some own questions to add to this tag and we removed some but feel free to do the tag as well!

A show a day (15 DOF) New Girl

Hi Guys,
This is our second show of the day and...

Our number 14 is New girl!

It's a show that a lot of people will enjoy watching at all times because the show just gets a smile on your face. 

14. New Girl

When Jess' heart gets broken, she needs a place to stay. She ends up living with these three guys: Smith, Nick and Winston. What seemed as the weirdest combination, turned out to be the best.

I usually never really continue to watch comedies. I enjoy watching one episode, when it's on tv. Like f.r.i.e.n.d.s. and modern family for example. But this show and its characters just sneaked into my heart. I couldn't  stop watching.

I absolulty adore everything about this show, it is one of the only shows of which I find every joke funny. And I don't  have that a lot.

The characters and their relationships are perfect, they aren't  forced, they went like actual relationships would go, what to my shame, doesn't  always happen.

If you are looking for a comedy to watch when your are bored our just feeling like watching a good comedy, we definitely recommend New Girl!
